The rods are built with a one-piece tubular fiberglass blank and a solid glass tip to improve durability and prevent breakage under heavy pressure. Heavy-duty 3-legged SeaGuide stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts provide excellent durability and reliable line management, even when fighting large bluefin tuna and other powerful fish. For improved comfort, the Squall II Boat rods feature a triangular EVA foregrip that reduces rod twist while under load. Heavy-duty reel seats and aluminum gimbals ensure a secure connection during tough fights, while the smooth butt design protects the rod in holders. Models with bent butts are especially suited for battling large offshore fish.
