Fishing with tow nets is becoming more and more popular. The nets are not unlike troll nets, delivered with large meshes on both sides of a regular fjord net, which means that the catch remains in a bag, made of nets and therefore fish well on fish of all sizes and shapes. The difference from troll nets is that these are made with a lower height, with a focus on bottom fish such as cod and flounder, monkfish and eel. They are therefore easy to pull and sort out. At the same time, the nets are 45 meters long, which is 50 longer than troll nets. The lead line on the net is longer than the float line, which means that it fishes very well for cod.
